This is the sweetest and cutest scene to look forward to when coming home every day.
This little boy has just arrived from school. And it’s not just his mom waiting for him to come home. His faithful dog is also waiting for him patiently.
In the video, the dog watches from their front yard as his human brother gets off the school bus and crosses the yard to get to him.
The dog stretches his legs because it looks like the dog will run to meet the brother halfway.
But he didn’t run, he just walked.
Maybe he’s had a long day of running and chasing his tail and just needed to stretch out his legs.
His brother runs up to him and greets him.
And then the dog does something that was most likely the reason for stretching the legs. He pulls himself up to stand on his back legs and gives his brother a hug.
What a sweet gesture! Plus the dog wouldn’t let go, too.
It looks like this is a daily greeting for them because his brother wasn’t surprised the dog did that.
Or maybe he has been teaching his dog to do this and he’s finally done it!
The human brother hugged him back and the dog gave him kisses. These two are just so happy to be together again after such a long day.
We can probably guess that these two spend every waking hour together (when the human’s not in school).
Bernedoodle, a crossbreed of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle, are great family dogs.
This crossbreed has the best of both worlds. They have the happy-go-lucky, playful attitude of the Bernese Mountain Dog plus the intelligence of a Poodle.
They love playing with kids, especially since young children can match their energy.
“They have a particular potential for playfulness and roughhousing with children. They do best around young children when they’ve been introduced to them when they’re still pups. They do best in homes where they can grow with the children,” Garrett wrote for Trending Breeds.
Because they’re a mixed breed, Bernedoodles don’t always look alike.
Two Bernedoodles may stand beside each other but you wouldn’t notice they’re the same crossbreed because they look alike.
Two features that are undeniable about them are their height and weight.
Bernedoodles reach their maximum height of around 23 to 29 inches by the time they are around 12 to 14 months. They will also reach their maximum weight of around 50 to 90 lbs at around the same age.
Unfortunately, while they can be your next best friend, they’re not exactly the best guard dogs.
They’re very friendly and don’t make loud noises. So they won’t bark if they see someone unfamiliar (whether it’s a dog or a human). In fact, they may even befriend the intruder.
So keep that in mind as well.
Watch the video below and gush at the cute exchange between this dog and his human brother.
